Connotations of the colour black and cool colours including, blue, purple, green etc. This will help me in my magazine, this is because it can help me specifically pick colours of clothing to create a purpose and reflect something of the artist. As explained in the research of looking at this website, black is the strongest of the neutral colours, but has positive and negative connotations. The positive being associated with power, elegance and formality. However on the negative it can be associated with evil, death and mystery. It can be used for edgy designs or elegant designs. i want my artist to come across as an elegant female and show she is has power, which black is commonly associated with, Hopefully this will be taken into consideration when taking a photo shoot of my artist, in which case i will try on black outfits to give off this specific image.
