Drafting and Planning

This is a little task we did, to see how we applied codes and conventions based on the genre of the magazine. When looking back at this task compared to my final front page, there is a massive improvement in developing my understanding of codes and conventions. This task taught me how to use colours and themes based on the genre of the magazine, for instance- a rock band could use an edgy font with dark colours. This will help me to pick colour based on my pop music genre.

WWW - You have added most of the codes and convention rules and the name of the main cover start appears in a massive font in the middle of the magazine. You have also added a pug that attracts attention .The magazine also follows the ethos of the magazine.
EBI - The font would be bolder to attracts even more attention and also if there were more cover stories to fill up that space.
Realistic - It would look more realist if there were more cover lines and the name of main cover star would have been bolder.

WWW - You have followed some of the codes and conventions rules.
EBI - The price was higher for a monthly magazine and also the Beyonce cover line does not suit the ethos of the magazine.
Realists - It is not quite realists as the cover lines take up minimal space and one cover line breaks the ethos of the magazine.

    Pitch
WWW - Added cover stories that match the creepy and freaky ethos of the magazine. The colours used also are effective as they match the theme of the magazine.
EBI - Added more cover stories to fill up the space and used different fonts for effect. Also making fonts bolder would attract more potential audience.
Realists - It is semi realists as the cover lines are suitable however there is a lot of free space on the magazine.

    Sound
WWW - Used some codes and convention rules and added cover lines that suit the ethos.
EBI - Again, there is a lot of free space. You have added only 2 cover lines and also the rice is too small for a monthly magazine.
Realistic - This magazine is semi realistic, it looks like a magazine that could be published by a small publishing company with a small budget.

WWW - The colours used for fonts suit the ethos of the magazine and also the cover stories used suit the magazines philosophy.
EBI - Added in more cover stories to fill up the free space and used bolder fonts.
Realistic - This music magazine could be more realists if you would apply the EBIs to it.
