Pink shows a girly theme- My artist is a young female.
'new single and tour dates'- The cover line is a goody/bronze colour- The colour of the models hair
i wanted the colours to be linked so the colours stand out more.

- The text is in a simplistic layout which enables the reader of the magazine to follow the text clearly, The different subheadings allow the reader to also know what the Artists responding to i.e- the question.
The image is blended behind the text, however it is a fairly large image will is eye catching for the readers- young females walking past the magazine might inspire to look like her.

This shot is very effective. This is because the clothing is stylish but unusual as most female artists wear very little clothing. However this is not the case. Gold Jewlerry used as props, represent wealth and achievement. Pink Lipstickp- shows a girly style and bright coloured. Facing towards camera to attract audience/reader.  This image may be used on my final double page spread. Body language shows confident character.

This is my double page spread draft, This shows an interview with Serena Gold who is my artist. The interview is based on her recent single which is still yet to be released and her upcoming tour in 2015. Colour scheme is coordinated and applys to ethos of the magazine.

Colour    scheme same as double page spread, different outfit but still combines well with outfit. Simplistic contents page, clear and easy to follow.

Research into similar products

Niki Minaj is a major role model to a target audience of 15-22. She is who inspired me to do a similar artist. She associated with R&B, pop, soul and rap genre music.  A lot of photographs of her, are generally close ups or long shots. These shots will be used throughout my drafting and planning. The image above is very effective, with the high key lighting, and bright hair which makes her stand out. Her facial expression is confident and has direct address with the audience. Niki uses a lot of bright colours in her clothing, style etc. This reflects her happy and bubbly personality. A lot of my shots have been influenced through her photoshoots. A lot of her images will be striking a pose which I will use n my magazine.

i am considering the masthead of my magazine to be 'volume' this is because it relates to music, i discovered this when using the visual thesaurus website. I used a word document to select different fonts for my music magazine which i screenshotted in the image above, The text i prefer is the very first one which is simple, bold an clear.

This is my double page which is not complete. The font colour for 'Serena Gold' is the same colour as the models lips, the title of 'new single and tour dates'  is the goldy colour of her hair which also matches the name 'gold'. the text is the same font as the white dress the model is dressed in and lastly the background colour is the same as the denim jacket wore by the artist.
